This Biesse Akron 1445A Has the ability to run PUR or EVA glue.

It has several programmable units with servomotors including the following:

Infeed fence for Premill amount up to 60mm thickness.

Pressure Rollers for glue application based on edge thickness.

Top and Bottom Fine trimmers. In/Out And Up/Down

Corner Round In/Out for 3mm automatic end rounding

Top and Bottom Edge Scrapers. In/Out And Up/Down

The following stations have manual adjustments.

Roll Edgebanding Auto feed with Guillotine cutoff for 0.4mm to 3mm Banding.

Manual strip feeding for Plam.

End Trimmer Saw Blades. Air Activation from program for Angle to Straight and Overhang or Close trim. Individually programmable

Anti Adhesive coating unit

Rough trimmers are Manually adjusted but program on or off and two height settings

Flat Glue Scrapers Top and Bottom Program on or Off – Manual adjustment for height.

Buffer Wheels – Program On or off.

Heat edge re-activation Program on or off.

The Machine comes with a Transformer to convert 480V Three Phase to required 400VAC.

It requires 100 lb. Air pressure.

I did not find an Hour meter in the control but has only been used less than 8 hours per day 5 days per week since late 2019. We took it out of service in May 2024. 

The PUR Premelter needs work. I believe it is clean but either an electro valve is broken or the air/ electrical isn’t connected correctly.

We have not used it recently as it’s too hard to keep clean and we are using PO glue which we hand fill the pot with pellets.

Other than that everything works perfectly and has all of the tooling necessary to start up and run.
