Wide belt sanding and finish preparation for production shops

For cabinet doors, face frames and architectural millwork, select sanding equipment around the material, part dimensions and finish process. A wide belt sander used for calibration has different requirements from a brush or denibbing machine used on profiles or between finish coats. Verify that the fitted heads and abrasive arrangement suit your work.

Check feed-belt condition, hold-down arrangements, minimum part length, thickness adjustment and dust extraction requirements. For veneer and thin panels, ask about the machine's pressure and platen controls and review sample results where available. Do not assume every wide belt machine is configured for veneer sanding.
