How does the iBiD process work?
Start here: buying, selling and auction process guides
Buy a machine · Sell a machine · List auction items · Buy auction items
Buying used woodworking machinery or planning an equipment auction? Start with the right machine information, a realistic budget and a practical removal plan. iBiD helps you evaluate machinery sales, complete woodworking shops and plant-liquidation projects.
Looking for woodworking machinery auctions?
Ask iBiD about current and upcoming auction availability, inspection arrangements and the correct bidding route for an event. This page is a planning resource, not a live bidding catalog. For machinery available outside an auction, browse current used machinery inventory or tell us what you need.
Before bidding, compare the exact lot’s condition, included equipment, 15% buyer’s fee and removal costs. Start with how to buy woodworking machinery at auction and the inspection checklist.
Want to auction woodworking equipment?
Whether you are replacing equipment, selling surplus machinery, retiring, closing a cabinet shop or planning a plant liquidation, share your equipment list, location, timeline and site constraints. iBiD can review whether individual listings, a negotiated package sale or an auction is an appropriate path. An inquiry does not automatically create an auction.

Research the equipment before the sale
Woodworking lots can involve CNC routers and machining centers, edgebanders, panel and beam saws, wide belt sanders, moulders, planers, finishing equipment, dust collectors and air compressors. These categories describe equipment to research, not a claim that any particular machine is currently at auction.

Clear auction fees
15% buyer’s fee. 15% seller’s fee. On a $10,000 winning bid, the buyer’s fee is $1,500 and the buyer subtotal is $11,500 before tax and other costs. The seller’s fee is $1,500, leaving $8,500 before other agreed deductions. See fee calculations and total-cost planning.
Plan rigging, freight and pickup early
Confirm who disconnects utilities, dismantles, rigs, loads, transports and unloads the equipment. Get qualified contractor quotes before committing and check the removal deadline. Use the decommissioning, rigging and removal guide.
Common questions
Can I sell one machine or a complete shop?
Submit the assets and timing for review. The appropriate sale method depends on equipment, buyer interest, access and deadlines; an auction is not automatically the best route for every machine.
Are rigging and shipping included in the auction fee?
Do not assume they are included. Confirm each service, responsible party and charge in writing for the event and lot.
Where do I register and bid?
Follow the instructions for the specific auction when available. A general inquiry or store account does not itself register a bid.
