Start with the components you produce
Mouldings, trim and profiled solid-wood parts
Browse used woodworking moulders. Compare stock dimensions, spindle arrangement, included cutterheads and tooling, setup procedures and feed requirements with the profiles you make. Include tooling preparation and changeover time when comparing short runs with repeat production.
Doors, shaped parts and machining operations
Compare woodworking CNC routers and machining centers. Confirm how each machine holds the part and which faces can be reached with the installed spindle, drill block or aggregates. Review controller support, software transfer and the postprocessor needed for your programs. Use the woodworking CNC buying guide to prepare questions about flat-table, pod-and-rail and vertical layouts.
Sanding and surface preparation
Review wide belt sanders for the required panel or solid-wood sanding operation, and brush and other finishing sanders for your surface-preparation needs. Compare actual heads, abrasives and part handling. Ask for representative samples; do not assume one sanding configuration can perform every preparation or finishing task.
Millwork machine listings to investigate
Use these examples as starting points, then check the individual listing and confirm current availability, condition and included equipment with iBiD.
- 2024 Leadermac SMARTMAC 7-inch, 5-head moulder — Utah: compare spindle configuration, working dimensions and included tooling with your profiles.
- QuickWood System PRO 1100 finishing / denibbing sander — California: ask about the installed brush setup, abrasive condition and sample-part results.
- SCM DMC System T3E RRCS wide belt sander — Utah: review the fitted sanding heads and requirements for your material.
- Busellato Easy Jet 5.12 CNC router — Michigan: evaluate the table, workholding and machining configuration for your intended parts.
How do I choose equipment for frequent profile changes?
List your common profiles, smallest and largest stock sizes, typical batch sizes and desired finish. Ask about setup access, adjustment procedures, tooling changes and a demonstration with representative material. Include setup labor and additional tooling in the purchase comparison.
What should I verify before moving a millwork machine?
Confirm dimensions, weight, loading access, electrical service, compressed air, dust extraction and safe infeed/outfeed space. Arrange inspection and qualified rigging or installation support as needed. Freight is quoted separately through iBiD's machinery freight broker. Model-reference specifications do not establish the exact configuration or condition of the machine offered.
